Spanish for “Saint Rose”, the historic city of Santa Rosa is the county seat of Sonoma County. With a population of 179,000 residents, it is the largest city in wine country. A significant fire in 2017 destroyed many homes in the area however the majority have now been rebuilt. Located 55 miles from San Francisco, Santa Rosa is the perfect starting point for a wine tasting or walking tour of the historic neighborhoods around downtown.
